MAST’s organiser – Evolutionary International Events – appreciates the need to reinvest at a ‘grass roots’ level, in the communities that support its events.
Each year a pre-determined percentage of event revenues will be donated to an academic institution or research laboratory, noted for its work in a key maritime field.
The second donation was made during MAST 2007, by director Warren Edge to the Istituto Superiore di Studi in Tecnologia dell’Informazione e della Telecommunicazione.
The first donation was made during the MAST 2006 opening session, by director Warren Edge to the IEEE OES (accepted by Professor Manell Zakariah, pictured above right) as a contribution towards their scholarship programme at ENST Bretagne, France.
