MAST Americas – post show review

Scenes from MAST Americas 2010

With 817 participants from 21 countries, the total number of attendees to the inaugural MAST Americas was half the size of it established European counterpart (although you would not have guessed that from the packed Keynote, Plenary sessions and well attended break-out sessions).

85% of all attendees took part in the conference sessions, so at times the exhibition hall was quieter than normal, however exhibitors were impressed with the quality of delegates that took part, and were extremely happy with the amount of time spent with each on their stands.

Notably, CNO Gary Roughead (pictured top left) took time from his busy schedule to visit many of the exhibitors.

“The number of high-caliber of people we met in three days at MAST would take us six months to a year to meet otherwise.”
— Ron Taylor, Canadian Pavilion organizer, Canada

90% of MAST Americas exhibitors have confirmed that they will exhibit at the next edition in November 2011.

German Chief of Naval Armaments will join MAST in Rome

Admiral Ohlms, the German Chief of Naval Armaments, has confirmed his participation as a plenary speaker at MAST 2010 (Rome, Italy, 9th to 11th November).

MAST’s organizers are delighted to be formally hosting their first ever German Admiral as a speaker.

“Whilst we have had good support from German companies in past MAST exhibitions and as both speakers and presenters in the technical conference sessions, this is a big step forward for the event,” stated Business Director, Jackie Baron. “This is a very positive indicator for MAST’s first venture into Germany, hopefully in June 2012.”
