Operations/policy and technology-based papers are sought in: the maritime security and defence domains and topic areas listed; relevant emerging technologies; and those referencing this year’s “guest topic” Freedom of the Seas – Piracy & Security.

- describe what is new/exclusive/relevant about the final paper e.g. in terms of innovation/strategic relevance/interest to MAST’s senior-level global maritime security and defence audience
You should define the paper as operational, policy, conceptual or technical and distinguish between practical, simulated, and theoretical results, and must be submitted no later than 23 April 2010. Where appropriate, clearance from your organisation or relevant national authority should be sought.

Example two: Your paper concerns communications between air, surface and undersea platforms/agencies/forces. Select “Integrated Systems”.
Example three: Your paper discusses the contribution of air/space operations/technology to maritime security. Select “Integrated Systems”. Select Topic area e.g. Operations & Capabilities
- Select Sub-topic category e.g. Missile defence
- Cut-and-paste your abstract text into the form.
Repeat these steps for subsequent submissions. You will receive an email confirmation for each submission. You will be notified of the committee’s decision to accept or reject your paper by the conference secretariat in May 2010.
