Abstract Deadline: 16 April 2012
Contributions describing new work in the topic areas listed are invited for presentation during the seventh annual MAST conference between Tuesday 11th and Thursday 13th September 2012 at Stadionmässen, Malmö, Sweden.
Operations/policy and technology-based papers are sought in: the maritime security and defence domains and topic areas listed, and relevant emerging technologies.

Abstract Requirements
Deadline: 16 April 2012
Your abstract(s) must:
- be in English
- be between 150 and 250 words
- describe what is new/exclusive/relevant about the final paper e.g. in terms of innovation/strategic relevance/interest to MAST’s senior-level global maritime security and defence audience
You should define the paper as operational, policy, conceptual or technical and distinguish between practical, simulated, and theoretical results, and must be submitted no later than 16 April 2012. Where appropriate, clearance from your organisation or relevant national authority should be sought.
Instructions for submissions
On the Abstract Submission Page, you should:
- Choose Domain
Select which maritime security/defence domain your abstract best fits i.e. that which best defines the predominant domain in which your ideal audience is active. Options are: Surface; Undersea; Air & Space. All domains will feature MAST’s typically broad scope of maritime security, defence and related activities/technologies. The Sub-committee Chairman and Topic Managers will make the final decision where to allocate your paper (if accepted).
- Select Topic area e.g. Operations & Capabilities
- Select Sub-topic category e.g. Missile defence
- Cut-and-paste your abstract text into the form.
Repeat these steps for subsequent submissions. You will receive an email confirmation for each submission. You will be notified of the committee’s decision to accept or reject your paper by the conference secretariat in April 2012.
